Frequently asked questions

Does the spreadsheet get uploaded?

No. Reading the file, matching columns, and building the .vcf all happen in this browser. The page counts anonymous events, such as a download, with only the rough number of contacts. Names, phone numbers, and email addresses are not sent.

What is in the free file?

The first 10 contacts, as one .vcf file or as a single contact. Each card includes a short preview note. Contacts after the first 10 are listed in the preview and left out of the free file.

What does $2.99 unlock?

A clean file of every mapped contact, with no preview note, plus a clean download of any one contact. It is one payment and not a subscription. Checkout stays closed until a product is connected.

Will my phone import the file?

The file is vCard 3.0, the contacts format used by iPhone, Android, and Outlook. Import it from the phone's contacts app. This page does not sync an address book for you.

Which columns can I map?

Full name or first and last name, phone, email, organization, job title, address, and a note. Extra columns can be skipped. A header row such as Name, Phone, Email, or Company is detected. You can change every choice.

Is there an account?

No. A purchase can be restored on another browser with the checkout email and the private receipt code. The spreadsheet itself is not saved with the order.
